The eruv is down
This week, volunteers checking the Phoenix Community Eruv discovered that a major repair is needed and the eruv will not be up this Shabbat. Therefore, the carrying of items such as keys and water bottles - or the pushing of strollers - is not halachically acceptable. No comments yet. You can be the first!

According to an e-mail sent yesterday by Beth Joseph Congregation, the Eruv Fund is depleted due to recent repairs related to the monsoons and other conditions. People are urged to pay their yearly eruv dues of $100 or make a donation.
Checks can be made to "Phoenix Community Eruv" and sent to the synagogue, 515 E. Bethany Home Road, Phoenix, AZ 85012.
